Biohazard Detection System Exercise at Jacksonville P&DC

One June 10th, Jacksonville P&DC conducted a Biohazard Detection System (BDS) full drill exercise to ensure management and craft employees are knowledgeable and prepared in case of an actual emergency.  Local first responders including state and local health departments, city emergency management, local police, and fire personnel were active participants with the Gulf Atlantic District Emergency Management Team, Postal Inspection Service, and the Employee Assistance Program counselor.  The facility’s employees were well-prepared thanks to extensive preparedness communications and informational signage posters displayed throughout the facility which also houses district administration.
